Closing Statements - Buckingham 30

At the "Closing" on Sunday evening each table family has another chance to share. To frame their responses, they addressed three questions. Each question follows with some of their responses.

First Question: In what spiritual condition were you in when you came to Kairos?

"I was scared and did not know what to expect."

"My battery was run down."

"Weak, looking for direction but had a hard heart."

"Pulled inward behind my wall."

"I feared communication and closeness."

"Spiritually bankrupt ...did not expect much."

"I was a Christian Caterpillar waiting to morph into a butterfly."
 

Second Question: What did you find here?

"Strength, encouragement, love, disciplined, friendship, direction, and peace of mind."

"To be openly affectionate with another Christian....hugging!!!"

"People who care and men who love one another."

"Tears and laughter."

"Learn to see from a blind man."

"Companionship and the ability to break down walls."

"Answers – understanding God’s plan for me."

"A lawyer who will hug me."

"They take 99% of your rights away but they can’t take the right to be redeemed by the blood of the lamb."
 

Third Question: What is it that you are going to take away from your Kairos experience?

"Fathers, brothers, and servant hood."

"I am not alone anymore."

"A way to follow Jesus."

"Truth - people on the outsides who look at us as more than a number...people who care."

"Inspiration and motivation to get out and stay out."

"Brothers whom we can count on."

"An open heart and mind."

"What we have learned and a new family."

"Christ."
